Assignment Title:Flood Information Packaging Expert

The Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office ENTRO has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Nile Cooperation for Result Projects - Additional Financing 2 (NCORE- AF2) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for individual consulting services.

The consulting services (“the Services”) is to review the “Eastern Nile Flood Forecasting & Early Warning enhancement” activity outputs; conduct a need assessment to gather EN countries flood related issues and develop a road map for next phase project according to the need assessment; to conduct a need assessment in consultation with EN stakeholder and  prepare technical concept note for next phase flood project and expectations to be done at national and regional levels; Review EN FFEW Enhancement project documents; Review countries plan and any document related to flood and drought; Evaluate national level key gaps to assess institutional setup, human capacity, legal aspects, technical gaps, etc and propose Eastern Nile Flood Forecasting & Early Warning  packaging of the current project deliverables with highlight of gaps and comment collected during the consultation workshop. The Consultant will be engaged for one man month over a period of three months.

The Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office (ENTRO) now invites eligible Individual Consults (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Individual Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The short-listing criteria are: information indicating their professional capability and experience to perform the services ;( qualification, description of similar assignments, relevant work experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills and Language proficiency). The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011, revised July 2014 [under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers  (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the [Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011, revised July 2014, and Section V. Individual Consultant Selection method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.

Assignment Title: Verification and Valuation Fixed Asset

The Eastern Nile Technical Regional Office ENTRO has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Nile Cooperation for Result Projects - Additional Financing 2 (NCORE- AF2) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for individual consulting services.

The consulting service (“the Services”) is to verify physical inventory and professional valuation of ENTRO fixed assets that will comply with the requirements of IPSAS17 and IPSAS31. The assignment involves verification and valuation of the following ENTRO Fixed Assets Land, Buildings, Vehicles, Office Equipment and machinery, Communication equipment, Office furniture, Computer and computer related asset and intangible asset. The service will give analysis of investment property, property plant and equipment and intangible assets under IPSAS 16, 17 & 31 respectively and other related referral documentation; Review and carryout assessment and verification of Fixed Assets and Analyze the asset inventory to establish Accurate records and class of Fixed Assets, determine the useful life of the Assets as per international standers, Create deprecation schedule for the Assets, Determine Non-Cash Generating and Cash Generating Assets, Establish and confirm Legal documentation and Recommend to the management on the disposal items. The Consultant will be engaged for 15 staff days over a period of one month.
